Cam Ranh Eco Resort Project, Khanh Hoa Province Vietnam

< Back
Designs have been produced for an 18 hole golf course part floodlit, with a ‘berm, floodlit members practice area and within the overall development a three tier fully flood lit driving range. The scheme has been designed for The Vitala Group of Companies on behalf of their client and site developers Thanh Nien Joint Stock Corporation. The golf facilities are part of a multi-use Eco Resort on over 184 ha overlooking the infamous deep water harbour and current Vietnamese Naval Base in Cam Ranh Bay. The project components include golf, leisure, business, residential and tourism.
The designs were formulated after a hot summer visit to Vietnam during 2009 to collate all the relevant site data and details before formulating the plans and supporting reports/documents. Staying in Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) and flying into Cam Ranh Steve hugely enjoyed his first visit to Vietnam embracing the local culture and especially the food!
Designed within a low lying area surrounded by rivers running into
Cam Ranh Bay the planning for the golf course and associated facilities
had to take into consideration burial grounds and existing water ways to
produce the final layout. The routing takes full advantage of the
proximity of water with the outward 9 holes running anticlockwise with
water hazards predominantly on the right followed by the inward 9 holes
with the water on the left yet designed with risk reward in id allowing
the golfer to choose the level of difficulty from each tee.
As well as a large hotel, over 100 golf villas are positioned
throughout the course offering a variety of standards of accommodation.
Within the leisure facilities it is planned to accommodate an Aviary,
Aquarium and Butterfly House, Waterside residential development Marina
and Market Street Retail area. There is also a Sports Academy with
several synthetic pitches and the three tiered driving range. For more details contact info@vitalagroup.com
